Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies Named after G.F. Morozov - one of the oldest universities in the city of Voronezh , was created July 23, 1930.

In 2014 the decision on assignment to higher education institution of Georgy Fedorovich Morozov - the outstanding Russian arborist, botanist, geographer and soil scientist has been made.
