VSUFT postgraduate student is a laureate of the V International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is Everyone's Business"

Oleg Serebryakov, a postgraduate student of the Department of Ecology, Forest Protection and Forest Hunting, became a laureate of the V International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is Everyone's Business".

"Ecology is Everyone's Business" is a Rosprirodnadzor prize established on March 31, 2021. It is awarded for interesting, non-standard ideas, initiatives and projects dedicated to preserving the environment, caring for nature and popularizing environmental culture. More than 110 thousand applications were received during the V anniversary season of the International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is Everyone's Business".

Oleg Serebryakov received a special prize in the nomination "Generation of the Future". The nomination task: to propose a concept, research work, activity or review on the issue of sustainable development. The principles of sustainable development can allow companies to become "green" and care about the environment.

The participants' works were evaluated by Svetlana Radionova (Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources), Nikolay Drozdov (Soviet and Russian zoologist and biogeographer, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University, host of the programme "In the World of Animals"), Elena Letuchaya (Russian TV journalist, TV presenter and producer, Artistic Director of the Higher School of Television "Ostankino"), Fyodor Konyukhov (Soviet and Russian traveler, writer, artist), Vyacheslav Fetisov (Two-time Olympic champion, coach, political and sports figure), Alsou, Yulianna Karaulova and other celebrities.

The award is held annually and involves children, youth and adults in the environmental agenda, encouraging their activity in the fight for a clean planet.
