At the panel discussion "A New Growth Map: Macroregional Development, Logistics Breakthroughs, and Human Capital in an Era of Turbulence", a VSUFT professor presented the results of a comprehensive study of the spatial organization of socioeconomic development in the Voronezh Region. The scientist analyzed the persistent trend toward polarization of the region's spatial structure, where socioeconomic potential is concentrated in the central agglomeration, and identified a significant imbalance between the core and the periphery.

In her presentation, Natalia Yakovenko detailed the methodology for assessing spatial inequality developed at VSUFT and presented scientifically based approaches to balanced territorial development.

"The study conducted at VSUFT demonstrates that overcoming spatial disparities requires the implementation of a coordinated system of measures aimed at forming a polycentric model of regional development and creating conditions for sustainable growth in peripheral territories", - Professor Natalia Yakovenko concluded.
