The meeting of the Educational and Methodological Council was held today at VSUFT

Today VSUFT hosted a meeting of the Educational and Methodological Council under the chairmanship of Vice-Rector for Academic Work Alexander Chernykh. Opening the meeting, Alexander Sergeyevich congratulated the Council participants on receiving accreditation for three educational programmes.

Then the participants of the Council heard the information about the changes in the composition of the educational-methodical Council: the educational-methodical commission on jurisprudence is now headed by Marina Pyltsina, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Production Management. Professor Nikolay Matveev was replaced by Natalia Evsikova, Head of the Department of General and Applied Physics.

The next question, Natalia Khodosova, Head of the Academic Department, presented the analytics on the academic rating for the academic year 2023-2024 and gave explanations on the criteria and indicators for the formation of the academic rating. According to the rating data, the Timber Industry Faculty and the Department of Wood Science were the leaders.

The deans of the faculties told about the plans for licensing of new educational programmes for the long-term and medium-term perspective. As Svetlana Pisareva, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, noted, the faculties are ready to expand the list of educational programmes, to grow and develop. Svetlana Vyacheslavovna also drew special attention of the Council participants to the issue of the need to approve the regulations for the development of documents included in the educational programme.

Denis Zhayvovronok, Associate Professor of the Department of Production, Repair and Operation of Machines, made a report on the development of the Regulations on the preparation and conduct of training sessions. The report provoked a lively discussion - all the participants of the Council agreed on the necessity to develop such a regulation. As a result of the discussion it was decided to approve the Regulations, taking into account the introduction of annual amendments to it in accordance with the legislation and the current educational processes.

At the end of the meeting, educational and methodological literature was presented for publication.
