VSUFT will develop additional measures to support student families and recommendations on family policy. This was reported by the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Youth Policy of Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies Vladimir Zelikov, who took part in the first All-Russian Festival of Student Families. The forum discussed important initiatives for the development of family policy in universities.
Following the plenary session of the festival with the participation of representatives of the Federation Council, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, measures were proposed to create comfortable conditions for student families, including the development of infrastructure and consulting services.
"There are more than 130 student families at our university, and we are already partially implementing support measures for them. So, in February, we opened a short-term stay room for children, where young mothers can leave their child for a while to attend classes, take an exam or tes", - Vladimir Zelikov explained, - there is financial support for the birth of a child. We are also thinking about other support measures for student families at our university".
