VSUFT became one of the key organizers of the All-Russian Congress of School Forestries

2 October 2025

The All-Russian Congress of School Forestries was successfully held at the "Levkovo" Health Resort near Moscow. The key role in his work was played by lecturers of Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies (VSUFT), who acted as experts and tutors at all stages of professional trials for schoolchildren.

VSUFT specialists oversaw all three main areas of the congress, ensuring a high level of educational and competitive programmes.

Experts and tutors from VSUFT:

The direction "Forest Restoration":

Alexey Ivanovich Zhurikhin, Associate Professor of the Department of Forest Crops, Selection, and Forest Melioration, served as an expert.
Sabina Fuadovna Skolzneva, Lecturer of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Soil Science, served as a tutor.

The direction "Forest Protection and Conservation":

Evgenia Sergeevna Furmenkova, Associate Professor of the Department of Forest Genetics, Biotechnology, and Plant Physiology, and Evgenia Vladimirovna Moiseeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology, Forest Protection, and Forest Game Management, served as experts in this area.

The direction "Forest taxation":

Margarita Aleksandrovna Tuvyshkina, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Forestry, Forest Taxation, and Forest Management, served as both expert and tutor.
During the congress, VSUFT representatives evaluated student competition entries, conducted master classes and educational sessions for them, and shared relevant knowledge and practical experience. Their active participation not only helped identify talented future applicants but also clearly demonstrated VSUFT's leading role in training highly qualified personnel for Russia's forestry sector.

The successful holding of the congress once again confirmed the university's status as a recognized center of excellence and its vital role in career guidance and the development of a talent pool for the country's forestry industry.
